The suffolk Fire experience - Doc 271 Bedford Fireman Vacancies

24th September 1998

Sub Officer X takes his final outstanding/deferred rota built up over a 3 and a half-year period. Outstanding/deferred rota’s being caused by short term willingness of X to help the training department out of the shit during periods when the department was short of staff due to sickness or over booking of courses. Or as in the case of George Moran, oversleeping and lying in his pit oblivious to the fact he should be on duty, due to a gut full of beer. Good “old boy” George, as “my name is Peter Raven I am a nosy instructor” used to say. As well as calling George a complete and total wanker that is.
