Junior Officers Hazmat Course

Course Aim

To give junior officers the knowledge and skills required to carry out a Tactical Risk Assessment at the early stages of a hazardous materials incident( excluding radiation) and apply the appropriate operational tactics.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course students will be able to demonstrate a knowledge and application of:-
A) Hazardous Material legislation
B) Relevant Hazardous Materials marking schemes
C) Tactical Risk assessment techniques relevant to Hazmat incidents.
D) De-contamination Procedures
E) The application of appropriate operational tactics at Hazmat Incidents
F) Environmental Protection measures.
