Course Aim

To ensure that all junior officers the knowledge and skills required to carry out a Tactical Risk Assessment at the early stages of a radiation incident and apply the appropriate operational tactics.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course students will be able to demonstrate a knowledge and application of:-
A) Basic terms used in the Nuclear Industry
B) Tactical Risk assessment techniques relevant to radiation incidents.
C) The effects of radiation on the body and how to apply appropriate protective measures.
D) The application of appropriate operational tactics at radiation incidents
